Data management
A WG data management working group, comprising representatives from all three locations, regulates data exchange between the subprojects, specifies exchange formats between the different data types (simulation, experiment, CAD), and defines the research data (primary data) relevant for long-term archiving. The working group supports the implementation of the central data management concept using Siemens' Teamcenter PLM software. The central data management concept enables efficient data use and reuse, trains the participating scientists and students in the use of professional central data platforms and communication forums, and ensures sustainable access to and transfer of data to other systems even after the end of project funding through open interfaces. In addition, a knowledge base on data management is being developed at the locations, which can be drawn on in future research work. For example, seminars on the use of a PLM system in other SFBs could be offered by the TRR. The working group is supported by a central administrator (CA) at the UPB and key users (KU) at the FAU and TUD for the technical implementation and maintenance of the PLM system at the locations. The CA takes on overarching control tasks and supports the KU with system changes (upgrades, configuration, etc.) on site.
